Overview of your role:

To provide quality instruction

Employ effective classroom management techniques, address diverse learning styles

Provide formative and summative assessment of student learning

Facilitate a positive and supportive learning environment

Support students in their efforts to succeed

Maintain accurate records and submit records and data by the due dates, in compliance with FERPA and other regulations
-
Participate in professional growth opportunities and support campus events, support and enforce campus policies
-
Model and employ professional and positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and students
-
Adapt to new circumstances and work collaboratively with all members of the Heald-wide community
-
Check voicemail and email daily and respond in a timely manner; respond to requests for course/program surveys; use electronic recordkeeping tools as requested, such as the Gradebook program and Peoplesoft, the designated learning management system

Attend faculty meetings, in-service training, and other professional development activities as requested
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-
Bachelor’s degree required, a Master’s degree preferred, in a field that is related to the course(s), which you will be teaching and a minimum of one-year teaching experience preferred

Skills needed in Microsoft Network administration, Linux, Security, and Routing

Excellent communication skills
-
A desire to support and motivate students throughout their academic career at Heald
