SUMMARY
The coordinator oversees a large volume of creative projects across various developmental stages. Collaborating closely with Lead and Senior Executives, this role provides proficient support in crafting original content and managing the production-post process for Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies Now. Responsibilities include coordinating information flow between production and network executives, shaping creative content, assisting in staffing key crew positions, and casting talent to engage a wide range of audiences. Additionally, the coordinator may be tasked with handling special projects, such as presentation preparation and comparative programming research. This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing a slate of 20+ creative projects in collaboration with multiple Lead Executives, including Senior Management:
* Manage the flow of information between key network stakeholders and all production roles.
* Provide detailed notes and constructive feedback on project ideas, story submissions, and all stages of script and post-production, actively participating in all creative decisions.
* Review all production dailies and offer recommendations for improvement if issues arise, such as deviations from the script, makeup, wardrobe, focus, or coverage.
* Offer support during pitch meetings with talent, agents, and show creators, and review creative submissions to provide recommendations for programming development.
* Coordinate script coverage with readers and maintain project tracking documents.
* Manages all calls, meetings, and screenings relevant to the personal project slate.
* Engages daily with other divisions within the company on programming-related matters, including scheduling, publicity, promotion, marketing, and business & legal affairs. Maintains a comprehensive company-wide database for each assigned project, ensuring accurate communication of key staff roles, production details, casting information, screening schedules, delivery dates, and writer payments in adherence to WGA standards.
Additionally:
* Coordinates script and project tracking for development and production records.
* Obtain and distribute copyright clearances, cast and crew lists, production schedules, etc.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
* 1-3 years of television experience, with at least 1 year of development experience preferred.
* Proficient PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience and advanced proficiency supporting lead executives in movies and series, including:
* Story and character development
* Post Production
* Note compilation and synthesis
* Cable and broadcast television knowledge
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
The hourly range for this job is between $21.01- $27.99. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
