This position involves heading a team in the Motion NEMA Motors, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures and quality and safety standards and policies. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a department within the Ozark motor plant operations in accordance with company policies, guidelines and procedures. Be a champion of continuous improvement and well versed in the principles of lean flex flow while continuing to foster an environment in which safety of employees is the top priority.

This is a position with global grade

Your responsibilities

  • Foster a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
  • Be representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the ABB goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
  • Be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will also, be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity and overall performance
  • Operate in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) and SDS (Safety Data Sheets) standards
  • Must have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associates Degree with minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Preferred Experience Includes: SAP, Kronos, Lean or Safety Certifications
  • Be comfortable speaking in front of large groups
  • Must be innovative with the ability to work with cross functional groups to implement continuous improvements
  • Must understand the importance of safety in the workplace and drive this through productive training and behaviors while being empathetic to personal needs and focusing on those of the customer
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
