NATIONAL CASH AUTOMATION (NCA) GROUP OVERVIEW

National Cash Automation (NCA), the CPO's cash software development and support team, is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the suite of cash applications used by Reserve Banks and depository institutions to process and manage currency and coin.

The team focuses on project management and agile development methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor enhancements to our core applications that provide: inventory management, operational and Board reporting, Depository Institution orders and deposits, policy enforcement, and communication channels between applications.

POSITION/PROJECT OVERVIEW

The work that the NCA intern performs, directly contributes to the success of the CPO's high priority objectives for 2020. Additionally, the projects that will be worked on are part of the NCA "Build" Team's team key results.

The intern will also gain insight into the administration of the NCA "Build" team through their participation in planning meetings and team mentorship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

While learning about the U.S. cash supply chain and the CPO's role in it, the Gold Intern will assist with:

  • Visualization of key project management metrics (scope, schedule, cost, quality)

  • Conducting surveys to capture opportunities for process improvement

  • Release Planning events and communication
REQUIREMENTS:
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in a 4 year Bachelor degree program
  • Overall 3.0 GPA or better
  • Ability to work 40 hours week throughout the duration of the 10-12 week internship program.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • MS Office
  • SharePoint
  • Tableau
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
